Buenas tardes:

A Team effort, Patronato Pro Ninos asked for the help of Hospice San Miguel to assist with health issues of a young 13 yr old boy in the community of Los Guias approx 1hr from San Miguel.
Letty from Hospice was aware of major respiratory issues of this young man & knew of the new smokeless stoves that Rotary was promoting (through her good friend & colleague Lee Carter), she bought this need to the attention of the Stove Factory/Project team, & they in turn decided to donate a stove to the family in need, as well as do a promotion in the community of Los Guias to demonstrate the major benefits of the stove.
The demonstration was a success with more than 20 people attending - at very short notice - a promise to keep in touch & begin to organise to gather the order for their community, as well as the stove being very well received by Edgar & his family.
This is a great example of NGO's collaborating to serve our communities. Thanks to Patronato Pro Nino, Hospice San Miguel & the Stove Team of Rotary San Miguel Midday...
